Solutions for the brown or gray foam produced in aeration tanks.
Release time:

Causes: Sludge aging, excessive sludge age, and the sludge after flocculation adhering to the foam. Solution: Increase sludge discharge, gradually renew the newly generated sludge in the system. The sludge renewal process requires several days, during which the operating environment must be well controlled to ensure that the newly generated sludge has strong activity (maintaining a stable level of dissolved oxygen between 1.0 and 3.0, ensuring a balanced ratio of nutrients, and appropriately adding nutrient salts).
The appearance of brown or gray foam in the aeration tank may be due to changes in water quality, rapid microbial growth, and other reasons. To address this issue, the following measures can be taken: First, increase the aeration volume to promote water flow and suppress foam generation; second, spray defoamers to disrupt the foam structure; third, adjust water quality to reduce the content of nitrogenous organic matter; at the same time, appropriately reduce the number of microorganisms in the aeration tank to slow down the growth rate of microorganisms. In daily management, regular water quality testing is necessary to identify and address issues promptly, maintaining a stable environment in the aeration tank to prevent foam generation.
